Marjon Ceramics Low-Fire Casting Slip, Cone 04/06
Item#: 1
- Slip casting is a popular ceramic technique used for producing multiple, identical, or complex-shaped pottery items by pouring liquid clay (slip) into absorbent plaster molds. As the mold absorbs water, a solid layer of clay forms on the inside. Excess slip is poured out, leaving a hollow piece that dries, shrinks, and is removed.
- An all-purpose casting clay with excellent plasticity. This casting slip clay produces strong greenware and fires white. Works well with most low fire glazes. Fire Cone 06-04.

Cone: 06
Firing Color: Oxidation: White - Reduction: N/A
Avg. Shrinkage 2±%: 6%
Avg. Water Absorption 1±%: 19%
