Mayco's Stoneware Crystal, Gloss Glaze, Cone 5/6 - 10, Pint
Item#: 16SW222
UPC#:
MPN: SW222P
- Stoneware crystal glazes are designed to expand upon the surface with dazzling bursts of color. Fired results will vary based on ware’s orientation.
CONE 5/6 OXIDATION:
- Green Jasper is a glossy, transparent white glaze that breaks over texture. Contains metallic green and blue crystals. Base color is stable, crystals can create movement.
CONE 10 REDUCTION:
- Base remains. Crystals shift to metallic red. Light application recommended.
Tip:
- Green Jasper uses SW250 White Opal as the base glaze. Upon opening, crystals will be concentrated in the bottom of the bottle. Stir/shake thoroughly to incorporate before each use. Crystals can create movement.
- Avoid having a heavy concentration of crystals near the bottom of your piece.
- When storing a crystal glaze, you may consider storing upside down to make crystal more accessible.
* Chips shown are fired flat on a white clay body fired to cone 6 oxidation and cone 10 reduction.
- The choice of clay body, the thickness of glaze application, the firing process, and temperature will affect the fired results.
