Hummingbird Feeder (3/pkg)

To prevent dripping, follow the steps below for installing your hummingbird feeder tube:

1) Choose a clean and airtight container. Small containers work best. Pint size or wine bottle size will work well, too.

2) You can use ceramic, glass or plastic - but the container must be airtight when installed.

3) Fill your container no more than 6 fl. oz. with the cool nectar solution. Too much liquid may cause your feeder to leak.

4) Make sure the feeder tube is inserted all the way into the rubber stopper without extending beyond it. Then, insert feeder tube tightly into your container. 

5) Once tube feels secure, quickly flip your container upright in the hanging position to prevent air bubbles. 

6) Hang your feeder vertically, as straight as possible, in the shade or partial shade in order to keep the nectar cool. The cooler the nectar, the less likely it is to drip. 

7) It is important to clean and refill your feeder often, especially in hot weather. 

** Please note: Even if the tube is installed properly, there may be an initial stream of nectar or some dripping. The small amount of air pressure inside the container pushes the nectar down the tube. Once a vacuum is formed, the dripping will stop.
