- The Giffin Grip Mini™ showcases all the quality and reliability you expect from the original Giffin Grip Model 10®, only smaller and packed with cool new features:

* Button lock secures the Sliders and Hands to avoid loosening
* Same unit will work with both Clockwise and Counterclockwise wheels
Giffin Grip - Mini
With four different styles of attachments you can trim pieces as small as 5/8” (1.5 cm), and all the way up to 9.5” (24 cm) in diameter. The patented fish-shaped receivers attach right over your bat pins and allow the Giffin Grip Mini™ to be moved from wheel to wheel without requiring any adjustments.
The various Sliders and Hand move in simultaneously to hold your pot right on center and accommodate various shapes and sizes of pottery. On top of saving time (that most precious of resources), the Giffin Grip holds your pottery gently and securely – so you can focus on the job at hand!
Other uses for the Giffin Grip Mini™ include:
* Waxing the foot
* Sanding and banding
* Glazing and decorating
Works on all wheels with standard 10” Bat Pins (also works with the Shimpo Aspire).
FAQs & TROUBLESHOOTING
My Sliders are getting jammed! What can I do?
If you bought a Giffin Grip Mini™ prior to 2024, you may need to install a “Bumper Stop”. This fixes the main jamming issue. Order a Bumper Stop free of charge at Marjon Ceramics, ask at the counter.
Another reason your sliders may get jammed is the buildup of dust, clay, or other debris. We recommend cleaning both the sliders and tracks regularly to ensure smooth operation.
Can I use a Giffin Grip Mini™ if I don't have Bat Pin holes?
No. The Giffin Grip Mini only works with potter wheels that have bat pins located 10” apart (standard dimension). However, it can connect to both Imperial and Metric screw sizes and has a smaller set of holes to accommodate the Shimpo Aspire.
My Button Lock isn't working, do I need a replacement?
If your Button Lock is slipping or getting stuck we are happy to send a replacement! Order a Button Lock free of charge at Marjon Ceramics, ask at the counter.
What is the difference between the Giffin Grip Mini™ and the Giffin Grip Model 10®?
The Giffin Grip Mini™ is our latest rendition of the tried and true tool. It is much thinner which means the trimmings stay in the splash pan; it attaches to bat pins making it ready to go right out of the box; and it will center and hold tiny pieces as small as a wine cork! The only disadvantage of the Giffin Grip Mini™ is that the largest pieces it can hold are 9.5” (24 cm) in diameter
Is there a Giffin Grip Guarantee?
Yes! Giffin Grip stand by their 90 day money-back guarantee and 10 years free replacement on parts that wear out or break in normal studio use.
