- Square Kiln Posts: 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" square footprint provides a solid, stable support without using up too much shelf space.
- Kiln posts designed to support and separate kiln shelves.
- They are upright refractory shapes of various cross-sections and heights that separate, support and stabilize the load of refractory shelves and the ware placed on them inside kilns at high temperatures.
- Posts are hollow to reduce thermal mass with a 15/16" round hole through the center.
- Available in a wide range of sizes and rated to Cone 10. Max. temp 2380 degrees F.

Posts
* Shelf posts are used to prop up the shelves to varying heights.
* We recommend that the first shelf layer is propped up using 1” posts to allow heat to travel under that layer. This helps avoid heat being wicked out via conduction due to contact with the floor of the kiln.
* Each shelf should be supported by 3 posts. Full shelves larger than 8 sided, may need to be supported by more posts.
* Posts may be stacked to increase the height but for maximum stability it is best to choose posts that can accommodate the heighth of your ware.
